For Non-Profits
A Resource for Non-Profit Organizations
Community Grants: Since it was established, the DSCF has presented grants to thirty-eight different organizations including those awarded following an application and review process, and matching grants following a week-long fund raising drive. Annually, grants may be made in the areas of education, historic preservation, health and human services, community development, arts and culture, the environment, and animal welfare, among others. See below for application guidelines and more about how grants are awarded.
Scholarship Fund: The Dripping Springs/Wimberley Girl Scout Scholarship Fund was established in 2011. The Fund rewards graduating Girl Scouts who have demonstrated commitment to the fundamental principle of Girl Scouts “of doing their best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what they say and do.” The Girls Scout Council has developed selection criteria and scoring, seeks donations to support the program, and identifies the recipients.
Fiscal Sponsorship Fund: The DSCF serves as the Fiscal Sponsor of new and developing organizations that have not attained non-profit status on their own, providing them with the ability to attract tax-deductible donations using the DSCF’s 501c3 tax-exempt status. The DSCF assures that all financial transactions meet IRS standards, handles all financial activity including both receipts and distributions, and regularly reports to the Fund holders. The newest Fiscal Sponsorship is the Dripping Springs Skatepark.
