The purpose of a Community Foundation is to connect people who care with causes that matter.
As described above in our Mission Statement, we have a double purpose:
Connecting People Who Care
The Foundation develops and manages opportunities for giving that provide donors and potential donors with the means for making a difference in the Dripping Springs community. When caring individuals want to have a positive effect on the lives of their neighbors, the Dripping Springs Community Foundation (DSCF) can help make that happen.
Donations to the Foundation may support a specific purpose or the broader community. The establishment of a Fund with the DSCF can provide tax benefits and the opportunity to meet long term philanthropic objectives. See the page "For Donors" for more information.
Causes That Matter
The Foundation provides support to local charities through grants that respond to emerging and changing needs and opportunities, and gives visibility for the organizations to a different audience.
Dripping Springs is growing rapidly and the needs of the community are shifting. Nonprofits are awarded grants from the DSCF's Endowment Fund, and donors of other held funds may specify grants to charities that address their concerns.
